Shock clips 2019 "good behavior - flood Mediterranean arc"

In the continuity of awareness films produced since 2017 by the inter-regional mission "Flood Mediterranean Arc" (MIIAM) of the DREAL Provence-Alpes-Cote d’Azur, and inspired by the clips produced for road safety, a series of 5 short and percussive clips were made.

Co-produced by the MIIAM and the Irma, the whole of the realization concerns the following safety instructions, selected in particular because of the risks and the victimology associated with their non-respect :

Tsunami risk in the Mediterranean Arc

The Mediterranean can be the scene of strong tsunami-generating earthquakes occurring off the French, Italian and North African coasts.
The last tsunami to impact the French coast occurred in 2003 after the Boumerdes earthquake, impacting Algiers and its surroundings.
There is absolutely no doubt that this type of event will repeat itself on the Mediterranean arc.

Floods : be careful while driving

It is observed in the Mediterranean Arc, the rains are torrential and violent. In few hours, we could have the quantity of rains of many months, which leads to flooding and water logging that causes lot of urban destructions. The past events show us that almost one death out of three during the catastrophe is linked to the use of the vehicule. Why ? Unaware of the risk, some of us decide to drive on flooded roads. However, less than 30 centimeters of water is enough to carry away your car.

Be careful while the underground parking is flooded

It is observed in the Mediterranean Arc, the rains are torrential and violent. In few hours, we could have the quantity of rains of many months. Which leads to flooding and water logging that causes lot of urban destructions.

Unaware of the risk, some of us decide to go to underground parkings to put their cars in safety. But this behavior could be risky and could trap you. In the face of this danger, we have to adopt good security and safety manners.

A short film investigating the opportunity that water could offer for the next generation of designers, architects, curators, artists and also the emotions, the fear, the fiction, the threat, the beauty, the lifestyle that it could generate. The film was premiere within the context of LUMA Days #2 at atelier LUMA in Arles on May 14th, 2018.
